General information about the RIF pages

Renju is the professional variant of Go-Moku and uses more sophisticated rules. In renju the black player (the beginner of a game) is not allowed to make double-threes, double-fours or more than five in a row. Renju also uses sophisticated opening rules. This homepage is primarily for renju but it also covers other five-in-a-row games, such as, free-played Go-Moku, Five-In-A-Row and Pente. If you wish to see an introduction ( a FAQ) to renju and other five-in-a-row games including the rules and the history select the rules- and the history page.

The official international rules of renju.

Possibly you want to read, review or copy renju´s official rules.

About the changes of the RIF pages

Some years ago RIF had 4 starting pages but it  became too difficult to update all internal links with 4 starting pages. Therefore now there will be only one starting page with all links. Almost all new information you will find on  the RIF newspage. Older  information you will find on some of the old newspages. You can find news from January 1995 till now.

RIF´s site is pretty big. It has when I write this info 47 folders and 1637 files. Most of it you can find directly from the starting page. You are also able to see how the RIF page looked some years ago i.e. on March 23, 1995. Most of the links from this date does not work any longer.

It is also possible to search the RIF pages using Evreka.
