Hi Mr. Hagenfors, thanks for this message.

We are honored that you would like to have the World Championship of Pro

Go-Moku on ItsYourTurn.com. We would indeed like to have the games played on

our site.

We would not be able to program a special tournament format for you, though.

So, all games would have to be played as non-tournament games on

ItsYourTurn.com. Your own tournament director would do the administration

and direct the players to invite each other to games on our site, and keep

track of the wins and losses.

You could create your own website that shows the tournament standings and

provides links back to the games on our site. There is another player on

ItsYourTurn.com who does this. His User ID is alanback and he runs his own

tournaments on our site, and posts the results on his own web site here:

http://www.gammonweb.com/

Here is an example of one of his pages that shows tournament standings and

has links back to games on our site:

http://www.gammonweb.com/SEBP1.html

Note that anyone who wants to view games in progress on our site must have a

User ID on ItsYourTurn.com and be logged in on their account. So all people

viewing the games would need to register on our site. They would not have to

play any games themselves, and as you know it is free of charge.

Here are some other considerations about running an online tournament:

We have no way of knowing that every User ID on our site, and in your

tournament, is really a different person. A player can create multiple User

IDs and enter them all in the same tournament.

We also have no way of knowing if a player is cheating by using a computer

to tell him what moves to make.

You are welcome to use our message boards for any announcements you want to

make about the tournament. Also, we would be happy to write a message on our

News message board giving a formal announcement about the tournament, if you

wish. We could also post a small headline about it in our information area

directly beneath our banners.

Let me know what you decide. Again, it is an honor that you have made this

request of us.

Thanks for playing on ItsYourTurn.com. Write to us any time.

Subject: world-championship of Pro-Gomoku

Hi

As you might know I have been playing regurlarly at your site since Oct 1

1999 and I still love it. I´ve made so many friends from all over the world.

I just come from the annual meeting with the Swedish federation of

"Luffarschack" that is Gomoku and Renju. Since many years we have played

world-championships of renju, both real tournaments and tournaments by

e-mail.

However we are also hosting Gomoku and "Pro-Gomoku" within the federation

and we also have real tournaments of this kind. In recent years we have not

had any tournaments by mail or e-mail though.

During the meeting today I was asked to hear with you if you would be

interested to host the official World Championship of Pro-Gomoku within your

site. For us this would be a great opportunity to make our game more known,

and for you it would give you the prestige of an official world-championship

to your site.

If you agree to host this we would then let the world-organization take a

stand on this issue. We have good hopes however that they would gladly

accept this proposition

Please feel free to contact me if you have any further questions at my

e-mail  hagenfors@tomsing.se or by calling me in Sweden by telephone +46 19

Federation) please look at our homepage www.renju.nu
