1.When did you start to play renju and how did you learn it?

I read about renju in Russian "Nauka i Zhizn" ("Science and Life") magazin during 1983-1984 years. Then I started to play "five-in-a-row" and renju via mail.

2.Do you play in a club? In which clubs have you played?

Since 1989 I play renju in Moscow Renju Club.

3.Which are your best results in national and international tournaments (Usual tournaments and e-mail tournaments). Which is your international rating for the moment?

III place in Moscow Championship (1993), I place in Nizhni Novgorod Open (1994), VII Russian dan (1995),
III place in Nizhni Novgorod Open (1996), 4 place in European Championship (1996),
II place in Moscow Championship (1997), 4 place in Russian Championship (1998),
III place in Helsinki Open (1999).

I happened to win renju World Championships via e-mail in 1998 and 1999 years.

My international rating at present moment is 2418.

Ando Meritee

5.Can you explain why you enjoy renju?

No. Its quite difficult for me to explain it.

6.Which is your plans for the future as a player?

I am very busy now. Hopefully it will not disturb me to play renju seriously. I am going to continue to play renju in correspondence tournaments.
