Test of Special Swedish Characters

Making Web-pages in Swedish gives you a special problem. The last three letters in the Swedish alphabet must be coded as special characters according to official HTML. Even in English pages some Swedish names will be mentioned. If you translate the letters to the code it is very difficult to see what you have written and therefore it is better to make this translation as late as possible. If you often change this page then it is very difficult to se what you have written when you work with a traditional Web editor.

Usually it is not necessary to use special codes for the last three letters in the Swedish alphabet. Both Netscape and Internet Explorer show them right without special code. Therefore on the Web-pages of RIF often I have not translated into the special code.

This is a test page for evaluation of thé above mentioned problems. Please, send me a message if you have problems with the uncoded Swedish characters. If you use Mac, please, also download this file on your computer and open it as a file.
